Etude House Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream Review

The Soon Jung line originally caught my attention since it was aimed at those with sensitive skin – that's me! A couple of years ago, I tried the mini version of the Before long Jung line which had the toner, cream, emulsion and cica balm. It'south really a pretty practiced way to decide whether you should invest in the full size versions or not!

Since I was a fan of the Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Foam, I purchased the total size for my winter skincare routine. (I also enjoyed the cica lotion simply the toner didn't do anything for me and I'1000 not an emulsion person lol). The cream claims to soothe the skin and maintain its oil-water residuum. Sounds helpful for my combination skin!

The Product:

Type: Moisturizer

Volume: 60ml

Recommended peel blazon: Any peel type, sensitive pare

Key Ingredients:

Panthenol

A vitamin B5 forerunner which works as a humectant to hydrate the peel. Information technology also has anti-inflammatory properties to assist soothe irritation.

Madecassoside

An active compound of centella asiatica. This ingredient helps to soothe and moisturize the peel, promote wound healing and increase antioxidant levels. Lots of goodness 😀

Full Ingredients List (cosdna):

The Packaging:

The moisturizer comes in a white plastic squeezable tube – useful for when you are getting almost the terminate! To dispense the cream, you popular open the hat AND you have to unscrew the part inside and then squeeze to disperse the product from the circular role (see pics!). Never seen this kind of lock machinery on a moisturizer before – it took me a while to call back to unscrew it before trying to squeeze the product out >.<

The packaging seems more hygienic due to the double locking arrangement nonetheless I am wondering whether it is really necessary hm…

The Consistency:

The cream has a medium consistency when applied on the pare. As you lot spread information technology out, it feels rich and nourishing since it leaves a layer on top that feels super moisturizing (third pic). The layer is slightly tacky at first.

I'm pleased to written report this cream has no fragrance \^.^/ In fact, I believe the whole Shortly Jung line is costless from fragrance, besides equally artificial color, parabens, essential oils and alcohol!

The Performance:

This cream takes a little longer to blend out and rub in due to the medium consistency. All the same once application is done, it feels very moisturizing and quite gentle on the skin. It did not irritate my sensitive skin at all – the marker of a good moisturizer 😉

Throughout the mean solar day, this keeps my skin feeling moisturized and I don't take any dry patches or flaky pare. It's but very moisturizing, particularly when you accept to go outside in the cold winter wind, therefore I recollect those with dry out skin would honey this!

1 thing to bear in mind is to watch how your sunscreen works with this, since it is a richer formula. When I used this under a moisturizing, dewy sunscreen (Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing Watery Sun Cream), it was also much on top of my combo-dry skin. Depending on your skin type, you may demand to switch up your sunscreen to piece of work with this moisturizer!

(^That might be obvious to others just I've never had to specifically avoid using certain moisturizers and sunscreens together so I thought I'd let you lot know!)

Pros:

Short ingredients list without fragrance, essential oils or alcohol

Very moisturizing

Feels gentle and non-irritating

Cons:

May be too rich for non-dry skin types or in warmer seasons

Overall Rating:

4/v

The Soon Jung 2x Bulwark Intensive Foam is exactly what I was expecting (assuming my memory was correct from when I tried the mini size!). It is highly moisturizing and gentle for sensitive skin. I appreciate the brusk, minimal ingredients list and that this cream is fragrance-free!

I would recommend this moisturizer to anyone on the spectrum of normal/combo-dry to very dry out skin. I imagine those with oilier skin types would probably find this cream too rich on the peel. If you take sensitive peel, I think you will enjoy how gentle and non-irritating this feels 🙂
